If you have a website, you should have a button for your visitor to add
your content to their favorites. But, how do you create the button in
Photoshop ? This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to create “Add to
Favorites” button to help you solve the problem.
Step 1
First, create a new project with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels,
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U) and set the radius to 120 pixels, then make a shape as shown below

Step 2
With the layer still selected,
Right click and open Layer Style
(Blending Option), click and select Gradient Overlay and set the
Gradient Overlay as shown below
Step 3
Now select Drop Shadow and set the Drop Shadow setting as shown below
Step 4
Create a new layer and name it “Layer 2″
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U) and set the radius to 120 pixels, make a shape as shown below
*Use Erase Tool (E) to erase unnecessary part until you get the result as below*
Step 5
With the “Layer 2″ still selected,
Right click and open Layer Style, click and select Gradient Overlay and set the Gradient Overlay as shown below
Step 6
Create another new layer and name it “Layer 3″
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U) and make a shape with the same radius of 120 pixels as shown below
Fill it with #BBBBBB color
Step 7
Create another new layer and name it “Heart”
Now select the Custom Shape Tool (U), select a heart shape and make a shape as shown below
Step 8
With the “Heart” layer still selected,
Right click and open Layer Style, click and select Gradient Overlay and set the Gradient Overlay like as below

Now select the Drop Shadow and set the Drop Shadow setting as shown below
Step 10
Now go ahead and select Text Type Tool (T) and type + in text as shown below
Step 11
Select the “text” layer,
Right click to open Layer Style (Blending Option), select Drop Shadow and set the setting as shown below
Step 12
The last step is select Text Type Tool (T) again and type “Add to Favorites”
The final image was done by duplicated the button and then re-size it
